Breast Procedures
Conveniently located to serve St. Louis
Breast procedures are surgical methods of changing the appearance of the breasts. The board-certified surgeons at Chesterfield Plastic Surgery are known for their expertise regarding breast procedures in St. Louis.
Our Breast Procedures
Breast Augmentation: Increase breast size and restore lost volume with breast implants. Patients can choose between silicone and saline implants.
Breast Lift: A breast lift, or mastopexy, lifts breasts that are sagging and appear flat at the top. The surgeon will remove excess skin and tighten the remaining skin, and the areolae and nipples may also be resized/repositioned.
Breast Reduction: Excessive breast tissue disproportionate to a patient’s stature can cause chronic discomfort. A breast reduction will remove excess glandular breast tissue, fat, and skin and reshape the breasts.
Breast Reconstruction: Many patients are understandably self-conscious about their appearance following a mastectomy. The surgical options for rebuilding breasts are numerous and highly customizable for each patient.
Breast Fat Grafting: A more recent advance in breast augmentation, increased volume is achieved with a transfer of excess fat from other areas of the patient’s body. The fat is harvested, purified, and transferred to the breasts.
Breast Implant Removal or Replacement: Patients who have had the same implants for many years will likely need them replaced or, if preferred, removed without replacement.
Augmentation Mastopexy: This combination of a breast lift and a breast augmentation creates comprehensive enhancement. Breast size and projection are increased, breast sag is reduced, the breasts are firmer and perkier, and symmetry is restored.
Nipple Reconstruction: It is not always possible for oncology surgeons to preserve the nipple and areola when performing a mastectomy. We perform nipple reconstruction to create the look of a natural nipple and areola. Several techniques are available depending on each patient’s needs.
Inverted Nipple Repair: The development of nipple shape and projection through puberty can sometimes result in one or both breasts having a flat or retracted nipple. This can be corrected surgically.
