Autologous Tissue Before and After Photos Patient 37859
This patient developed left breast cancer. She desired to use her own tissue for reconstruction. She initially underwent left mastectomy with immediate pedicled TRAM flap reconstruction (TRAM = transverse rectus abdominis myocutaneous). This transfers extra fatty tissue and skin from the lower abdomen up to the chest wall by keeping the blood supply attached by her left rectus muscle. After this healed, Dr. Geiger performed a second stage procedure to additionally shape the left breast while performing a right breast lift for symmetry. A projecting nipple has been created as well, and awaiting tattoo for color match. Here she is 2 years out and still looking great!
