This patient developed cancer in the outer aspect of her left breast. Dr. Geiger worked simultaneously with her breast surgeon to perform resection of the tumor while reducing and reshaping of the breast to minimize future cavitation or distortion. She underwent simultaneous reduction of her other breast by Dr. Geiger using a superomedial pedicle, Wise-pattern scar technique. This technique removes the lower and outer breast tissue, and keeps the remaining upper breast tissue for nipple support. The final inverted-T shaped scars allow removal of additional sagging skin. This allows for an excellent rounded shape, medial fullness, projection, and longevity to the final breast appearance. She looks and feels amazing with her new size and shape not to mention our ultimate goal – cancer free. Here she still has some special tapes in place to keep her areolar scars fine and faint.
