Panniculectomy

This patient was suffering from abdominal pain from a prior mesh hernia repair. She also had excess lower abdominal skin that interfered with daily activities. Dr. Geiger performed a panniculectomy to remover the lower abdominal skin as marked, giving excellent access to her abdomen for hernia repair and revision by a general surgeon colleague. After her hernia was fixed, Dr. Geiger reattached her belly button slightly lower in order to remove more lower abdominal tissue and keep the scar hidden along her waistline in undergarments. Here she is a few months out doing great.
