This patient had prior double mastectomies and subpectoral expander to implant reconstruction by another surgeon. She was unhappy with the odd shape of her implants and severe animation deformity (implants moved when her pectoralis muscle contracted). She underwent removal of her flipped implants and replacement to the latest generation, highly cohesive, smooth round silicone implants. These were placed in the prepectoral space (on top of the muscle), held by a sheet of Alloderm. This improved her overall appearance and confidence as this technique eliminates the animation deformity completely.
