This patient developed multifocal left breast cancer. She underwent a left mastectomy through a transverse incision, removing only her nipple for cancer control but keeping her native areolar tissue. Dr. Geiger then performed subpectoral reconstruction with a shaped implant and inferior Alloderm sling for support and an excellent match to her native right breast. She has since gone on to have a projecting nipple surgically created and tattooed for completion of her reconstruction.
