Unilateral Reconstruction

This patient developed left breast cancer. She initially underwent a lumpectomy to remove only a small portion of the breast. However, additional cancer was still found so a left mastectomy was performed for tumor control. Dr. Geiger performed expander based reconstruction initially. At a later, second stage he replaced the expander with a permanent implant and performed a breast reduction on the right to match.
