Wise Pattern Reconstruction

This patient had bilateral breast reduction surgery many years prior with a different plastic surgeon. She was recently diagnosed very high risk for future breast cancer. She underwent double mastectomies through breast reduction-type incisions (Wise Pattern) to remove excess skin and allow better reshaping of the breasts while incorporating her prior scar pattern. Tissue expanders were then placed under the muscle and supported with her own excess breast skin (inferior autoderm technique). She completed the expansion phase and subsequently underwent exchange to smooth round silicone implants giving her a breast lift while nearly eliminating her risk of future breast cancers. She had nipple reconstruction and tattooing performed in the office.
