Wise Pattern Reconstruction

This patient had pre-existing subpectoral breast implants. She unfortunately developed left breast cancer many years later. She underwent double mastectomies through breast reduction-type incisions (Wise Pattern) to remove excess skin and allow better reshaping of the breasts. Dr. Geiger removed her old implants and capsules, then placed tissue expanders under the muscle to start her reconstruction. This was supported by an inferior Alloderm sling as well as some of her own excess breast skin (inferior autoderm technique). She completed the expansion phase and subsequently underwent exchange to smooth round silicone implants for an excellent outcome giving her both a reduction and a breast lift.
