Panniculectomy Before and After Photos Patient 37760
This patient lost a significant amount of weight. She suffered from a lower abdominal apron of excess tissue and residual adiposity that caused skin ulcerations, rashes, and infections. She underwent a functional panniculectomy, or amputation of the lower abdominal tissues only. Overall 4.3 pounds of lower abdominal tissue was removed to help rid troublesome area. Note -this was not a cosmetic operation or tummy tuck (no muscle tightening or belly button movement), and no liposuction was performed. She is seen here 4 months postoperatively.
